A landfill site, also known as a tip, dump, rubbish dump, garbage dump, or dumping ground, is a site for the disposal of waste materials.
EU rules aim to limit the amount of waste sent to landfill to the necessary minimum.
The "landfill composting" method
This methodoly aims at reducing the impact of leakage in the end-of-life. In other words, we don't believe in recycling.
- Design with a bio-based, home compostable material in mind
- At the end-of-life the product may be discarded in the grey bin by users. Leak may happen as well.
- The product will either be incinerated (Incineration facts v) or landfilled.
- In the case of landfill, the product may be "landfill composted" due to the properties of its material.
